I grew up in Austin ISD, graduated from Austin High. I went to Mills College in Oakland, CA after high school & majored in Liberal Arts with a minor in Child Development. I graduated in 2003. I got my teaching certificate through Texas Teaching Fellows, an alternative certification program, and began teaching in 2006.

I have spent the entirety of my formal teaching career at Thomas G. Harris Elementary in PPCD.

I was born in Houston and moved to Austin when I was 2 1/2. I grew up in Austin ISD schools (Barton Hills, Martin JH, Austin HS), always knowing I wanted to be a teacher. I attended a fantastic women's college called Mills in the San Francisco Bay Area. My boyfriend didn't want to move, so I came back to Austin after graduating. Together my man & I bought a house, got married, and adopted dogs. I fulfilled my dream and started teaching in 2006. Having been a "weird kid", I gravitate towards other people who march to their own drummers-- Special Ed is my heart! 8)
